Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds boneless chicken breast or thighs
  • 6 tbsp plain full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ¾ tsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, honey, and all spices until smooth and well combined.
  • Add the chicken and toss until fully coated, making sure each piece is evenly covered.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 8 hours for deeper flavor.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting any excess drip off, and cook using your preferred method (see notes). Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Air Fryer: 375°F for 14–18 minutes, flipping halfway through
  • Oven: 400°F for 20–25 minutes, depending on thickness
  • Grill: Medium heat, 5–7 minutes per side
Recipe Tips:
  • Full-fat yogurt works best for maximum tenderness and flavor
  • Don’t over-marinate (especially chicken breasts) to avoid a mushy texture
  • Let excess marinade drip off before cooking for better texture and browning
  • Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F for safe, juicy chicken
  • For best results, let the chicken rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
